To the North-West of the Beaujolais, beyond the village of Julienas, follow the small sinuous roads which curve along the small valleys, you will reach the small village of Jullié.
It is still necessary to exceed this village and to be directed to the top of the hills to arrive on the ‘Domaine les Côtes de la Roche’, to the place says the ‘Preau’.
In this place, Gerard and Joelle Descombes created their field in 1973. This love of the work of the vine comes to them from their respective parents whom they followed since very small in the vineyard.
The field extends today on 15,5 hectares from vines. In addition to the 8 hectares of Beaujolais wine Village acquired near the Lord of the manor of the Rock, it, with the passing of years, grew rich by appelations re-elected such as Chénas , Moulin à Vent , Juliénas and Saint-Amour .
The youngest vines are 8 years old of age whereas oldest have nearly 90 years.
Lastly, the insecticidal and acaricide processing are done in reasoned fight. The white disease is prevented by the sulphur pulverization.
The wine making is carried out with the field and the wines are bottled at the property .
